The Wagga Joiner Brand Identity

The Wagga Joiner Brand Identity Design Brief

In this article, you'll learn how I designed a trustworthy website

Components required:

  • Logo design
  • Brand Identity
  • Simple website

About The Project

The Wagga Joiner is a start-up Joiner business that specialises in high-end cabinetry and fit-outs. The client has decades of experience in the industry and decided to strike out and work for himself.

The type of work he wanted to pursue is creating luxurious kitchens, bathrooms and laundries. In order to attract the right kind of client, he required a brand identity that reflected a sleek and modern feel.

Logo

I decided on a monogram as they are usually a simple and timeless choice for any logo-type. I wanted to symbolise the idea of building and joining without it looking tacky. After a few sketches I came up with the joined letters with the gestalt-effect letter W.

Colour-Scheme

I chose to stick with monochrome colours – blacks and greys mainly. On the website I used a hint of gold as an accent. I chose these colours because they feel luxurious.

Marketing Material

As part of the package, I also designed business cards, letterhead and a uniform – black polos and black hoodies with the logo on them.

I kept the business cards simple so the logo would be the first thing that anyone sees. It was important for the brand to stand out and tell you what kind of business and clients they cater to. That is why I used only black and white colouring.
