South Wagga Website

South Wagga Website Design Brief

In this case study, you'll see how I used a variety of plugins to create a dynamic and sporty website for the South Wagga Warrior's team.

Components required:

  • Photo Galleries
  • Match times
  • Match reports
  • Email address

Plugins used:

  • Sportspress / Sportspress for Soccer
  • Advanced Custom Fields
  • Custom Post Types
  • Google Sitekit

Matches:

I used the Sportpress plugin so that the team could post game scores, upcoming matches, and game reports. I instructed the client on how to upload CSV files with their game reports, match dates, and match outcomes, eliminating the need to manually update anything. I also created individual pages for each league so that once the captain updated a match on the CMS, the page dynamically refreshes.

Gallery:

Using ACF Custom Fields and custom post types, I created a dynamic photo gallery that would appear on the homepage. This allows the captain and photographer to upload new photos to the CMS and have their pages updated automatically without any tinkering.

Email address:

I created a simple cPanel email address for the client so they could answer any inquiries about the team and upcoming events and helped them link it to their Microsoft Outlook apps on their phone and computer.
