About The Project

2 Easy Engineering, situated in Junee, required a logo that could be easily painted on any surface to use as signage. The client focuses mainly on restoring rusty hot-rods and making them driveable again, which are nicknamed ‘Rat Rods’. The vibe the client sought out was 1930s vintage typography in an emblem style with cherry red and cream colours.

Logo

I used 1930’s Disney cartoons such as
Mickey Mouse and Kiko Kangaroo as inspiration for the project, which lead me deeper into the rabbit hole of creating an illustrated logo that is reminiscent of the Rockabilly movement.

I hand drew the logo icon and included a spanner and fireworks as a nod to the engineering and mechanical industry the logo represents.

Marketing Material

As part of the package, I also designed business cards and stickers for the client. I designed the business cards to look cartoony and simple without any excess or unnecessary detail, and the stickers were designed to be used as a form of guerilla marketing – to stick anywhere on any wall, window or street sign throughout Junee and Wagga. I wanted them to look fun and a little weird to ensure they would stand out.
